Talbot Walker LLP is the successor firm to Talbot Walker Solicitors, whose origins can be traced back to 1726.
In April 2005 the Partners of Talbot Walker took the decision to convert their professional practice into a Limited Liability Partnership enabling the firm to move into a more corporate environment and better meet the requirements and needs of its clients. The legal world has come a long way since 1726 and the change in the firm's status reflects a continuing commitment to developing the range and quality of services available to our clients.
The Staff
The senior member of Talbot Walker LLP is Simon Walker who heads our Civil Litigation Team and is on the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists. Simon qualified in 1985 and is also a Notary Public and specialises in clinical negligence work.
Sonia Adlem works for the Civil Litigation Team specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence. She qualified in 1996 and is also on the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel.
Lesley Walker, who qualified in 1987, heads our Wills Trust and Probate Department and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Alison Torah qualified in 2002 and assists Lesley Walker. She is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly.
Fiona Saunders is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and works in our Conveyancing Department specialising in residential, freehold and leasehold conveyancing.
Gavin Burnett, who qualfied in 1992, is head of our Criminal Team and specialises in criminal and military law together with licensing law.
Samantha Lawrence qualified in 2008 and works for our Criminal Team specialising in criminal and military Law.
Edward Stott qualified in 2008 and works for our Criminal Team also specialising in criminal and military Law. Edward is mainly based in our Basingstoke Office.
Lee Atkins also works for our Criminal Team and is an Accredited Police Station Representative and deals with all aspects of criminal law. Lee is also based in our Basingstoke Office.
In addition to the above mentioned members of staff the firm has a full range of administrative and support staff and, at any one time, two trainee solicitors all of who provide administrative and secretarial support to the fee earners enabling the firm to offer a complete range of services for the private client and commercial organisations.
