Mark of distinction!

Forward thinking legal practice Talbot Walker LLP in Hampshire has become one of just a few legal practices in the country to be awarded the prestigious accreditation mark the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS). Headquartered in Andover and with offices in Basingstoke, Talbot Walker scoops the title of being "first" in Andover to secure this new nationally recognised and highly coveted mark of approval from the Law Society.

Through the CQS scheme home owners and prospective home buyers are provided with the opportunity to buy conveyancing services from reputable law firms and remain confident in the security, reliability and efficiency in transactions between home buyers and lenders.

John Wooton, Vice President of the Law Society recently commented: "accredited firms should be congratulated for their achievement. The application process is thorough and all those firms who achieve the CQS status have shown that they have what it takes to achieve and maintain high professional standards as well as delivering excellent customer service."

The CQS status is firmly on the home buyer's radar and will become even more relevant as the legal market is on the verge of opening up under the new alternative business structures and may create a more complex marketplace for the consumer. Talbot Walker are all to aware of the pending changes in the industry and believe its all too important to demonstrate their experience, reliability and service quality with the help of industry accreditation and quality marks.

The CQS status is a mark of integrity and adherence to good practice and impeccable standards when it comes to practicing law in particular in the field of conveyancing. Emma Denton, Head of Residential Conveyancing at Talbot Walker commented: "I’m proud that our firm has been awarded the CQS status from the Law Society, it really demonstrates our commitment to quality and service that we’ve been well known for over the years and a team that has always gone the extra mile."

The scheme is expected to create a trusted community across England which will deter fraudulent activities and the Law Society firmly believe that year on year it will drive up standards. With a further 750 applications being submitted to the Law Society its clear that this is set to become "The" industry standard for conveyancing, great news for house buyers.
